Safety First
Heavy winds due to storms can wreak havoc on a roof. Your roof is your first line of defense from the elements. Once that is gone, brace yourself. Commercial buildings, especially those with more flatter roofs may decide to tarp them. Tarping is an excellent example of good preparation. It stands and acts as extra protection during the storm which helps keeps the interior of your building nice and dry. Sometimes tarpings need to be adjusted, as you can see from the first picture. Once the proper length is determined, and enough sand bags are available your roof will stand against any storm that comes its way.
