The growing concern with mold in our environment is valid. Mold, in its various forms can pose a real health hazard. This is especially true in schools and commercial buildings. As Administrators or Facility/Risk Managers, you have to be pro-active when dealing with this issue.

There is no such thing as a mold free building, mold spores are everywhere. These spores are very small and will be set in motion by the slightest movement. Once they're air borne, they eventually can settle on any surface. What's the best way to control mold?

One primary way to keep mold under control is good ventilation. Second, repairing all water leaks as soon as possible. If wet spots were to occur, clean and dry within 48hrs.
