Get Involved in Your Community's Preparedness
Most cities have first responders and organizations in place to respond during a disaster. Get to know those organizations in your community. You can find them here.
Take a CERT class, First Aid class, or CPR/AED. These life saving skills come in handy during a disaster for those that need medical assistance. You can find a list of classes in your community here.
Most importantly, Don't Stop Preparing. We may not know when the next disaster will happen, but we can know we can be prepared. #BeReady and #PrepareNow. Teach your children, and tell your friends and family. The more people that are prepared, the faster the community can get back on their feet.
